Nowy album Norah Jones

Promocyjny singiel amerykańskiej wokalistki na dwa miesiące przed premierą „Pick Me Up Off The Floor”

Premiera albumu Nory Jones „Pick Me Up Off The Floor” będzie miała miejsce 12 czerwca br. Tymczasem wytwórnia Blue Note wydała  promocyjny singiel „How I Weep” – poetycki utwór z nadchodzącego albumu  „Pick Me Up Off The Floor”.  To już drugi, po „I’m Alive”, singiel anonsujący ten album.

Norah Jones w ostatnich tygodniach na swoich kanałach społecznościowych publikowała różne video pod hasłem  #StayAtHome w tym przepiękny live cover utworu Guns N’ Roses” „Patience” oraz nową wersję nagrania „That’s the Way the World Goes Round” jako tribute dla Johna Prine’a.

Jones zaczęła także tworzyć własną poezję, po raz pierwszy w życiu. Część z tych tekstów znalazło się także na najnowszym krążku w tym „How I Weep”.

 „Moja przyjaciółka odkryła dla mnie poezję podarowując mi książki z poezją – mówi Jones. Ten prezent plus codzienne czytanie moim dzieciom książek i poezji takich autorów jak Dr. Seuss i Shel Silverstein wciągnęło mnie w ten świat i sprawiło,  że napisałam coś własnego. Ale nie sądziłam, że kiedykolwiek będę w stanie wydać swój własny tomik poezji więc zaczęłam się zastanawiać jak przenieść go na płaszczyznę muzyczną. Zredagowałam go odrobinę i od razu pomyślałam o duecie smyczkowym – że będzie idealny do tego by oddać atmosferę utworu i ‘straty’”.
